Bill Murray sits around, watches television, looks perplexed and pained, and says absolutely nothing for about half of this quirky independent film about an aging bachelor who heads out to see if he has a son. The pace was too slow, the mood too quiet, and the film too long.

The Oscar Peterson Trio pays tribute to Frank Sinatra in this set of Old Blue Eyes’ biggest early hits. While the playing is consistently great as one might expect from Peterson, Ray Brown, and Ed Thigpen, there is very little jazz improvisation and quite a big of easy listening here.

Tim Burton directs yet another spooky goth fantasy, about an arranged marriage in Victorian England and a groom that finds himself inadvertently married to a corpse. The animation was beautiful, but the story was pretty silly. The voice acting is good and the picture delivers exactly what you would expect.
IMDB: Corpse Bride.
