Sylvester Stallone is John Rambo, an unemployed Vietnam War hero, who gets on the bad side of an overbearing local sheriff in this exciting, franchise-establishing action adventure. The action is consistently fast and explosive, the characters believable and real, and the plot keeps the audience riveted until the credits.
