In this second installment of Kieślowski’s phenomenal cinematic trilogy, Zbigniew Zamachowski stars as a depressed, impotent man whose sexually unfulfilled wife, played by Julie Delpy, is leaving him. His convoluted scheme to win her back is engrossing. The look, sound, script, and characters in this gorgeous film are completely unforgettable.
