Jamie Foxx, and Christoph Waltz turn in fantastic performances in this Quentin Tarantino dark comedy about a slave, rescued by a German bounty hunter, who hunt the villains that captured and sold his wife. Tarantino’s irreverent dialogue, eye-popping action sequences, and brilliant script make this engrossing romp a blast.

Grade: A.

With a huge, unexpected plot twist halfway in, this weird relationship drama keeps the audience guessing.

In this comedy, a rich, pampered man child is evicted from his parent’s posh Manhattan hotel and forced to fend for himself without any of his usually vast wealth. The central character, Conrad, played by Jason Bateman, is so whiny and lost that it’s impossible to sympathize with his plight.

Ewan McGregor and Eva Green star in this strange dystopian romance about a doctor trying to find a cure for the epidemic that’s causing people to lose their senses and a chef who works next door. The breathless sense of panic and frustration in this picture is believable and immediate.

Grade: B+.
